I have two true strange stories.
The first story is of this guy (lets call him Bob) that comes to the Portland Oregon EXJW "meet up group."
The strange thing about Bob is he has never been a JW...or ever wanted to be. So why does he come to the meetings?
Bob"s wife had an affair with a "Brother"(Tom) who was in good standing." She meet Tom at work. Tom was married with a two small children. She left Bob (the worldly guy) for Tom the JW.
Tom was reproved. Tom then convinced her that only way they could be together and get married, was for her to join his religion (the JWs) which she did. They are now married...and raising Bob's two young daughters.
When the young girls see their "worldly" Father on the weekends...The girls tell their dad how "He will soon be dead, since he is not one of Jehovah's Witnesses."
I wonder were that came from?
My heart goes out to Bob...he was never in the witness Hell...but the witness hell has found him and is ripping his family apart.
The second story I'm confirming the facts on and will be posted on April 2, 2008. This is one of the sickest stories, I have ever heard in or out of the "borg" and can't wait to get everyones reaction to it.

WHAT if we're wrong?
by shell69 ini mean, i know i'm bitter.. normally these days quite strong, not feeling so much so much the last few days though.. what i'd give to do the things i was used to.
going doing the weekly shop with my mum, her popping round for a brew in the morning.. a hug from her, just to to know from the way she communicated with me, that she loved me.
i miss her so much.. and what if i'm wrong?.

I remember one like that too...It was the Azusa Califorina Congergation about 1968.
This guy come into the "truth" to marry this sister, has they are walking out of the hall after the wedding...He turns to her and says "Thats the last time I'm ever going back in there!" Their marriage ended about 10 years later.

My Sister married this real winner, his name was George Pinzari...Anyway my father (inactive at the time) knew this guy was going to be real trouble, so he offered him $10,000 bucks to not marry my sister...and to get out of her life!
George said "no way" and told my sister..Both of them gave my father a bunch of shit because of the offer.
I must say I thought it a little strange too. I was a self rightious Bethellite at the time, on vacation.Now I see the pure wisdom in it.
So they got married out in our back yard. It had to be over 90 degrees that day we had wool tuxs on.
Oh, by the way George hadn't sleep in 2 days, he was trying to catch up on all his janitoral work, before the honeymoon...he looked real bad and was very nervous.
So I got a bottle of Jack Daniels and gave him a few shots.
So back to the wedding....hotter then hell...This guy starts giving the wedding talk from hell. Starting with Adam and Eve...we lost our first brides maid 25 minutes into the talk...passed out, fell flat on her face.
15 minutes later with no end in sight, the speaker looks at George (who looks green) and says "Are you alright?" To which George says "No"..
My father stands up and says "Your not backing out of this!".....Everyone laughs. They get George a chair to set down on. A wet towel over his head, my sister standing next to him. What a sight.
After the hour talk it's over. George walks pass me in the wedding procession and says "I'll never forgive you for that."....funniest damn wedding I was ever at.
P.S Six years later when their marriage was toast...and my sister left George, George went to my father and asked him, if the offer for the 10k was still good...My dad chased him out of the house. What a winner!

What have you done to heal yourselves from the borg & lead a content life?
by cognac inor, at least made progress in healing yourselves.... right now i feel like i have made a lot of progress.. i did the following that helped tremendously:.

faced my husband regarding how i felt and feel that we have met eachother 1/2 way on this - even researched and prepared how to talk to him in a better way (i have a blunt, tactless way of bringing things up - in case you guys didn't notice, lol.

Stories Of Wife Abuse In The Organization!
by new boy inthere are so many.... i remember my exfather inlaw...ben regan, he was made an elder in newport r.i and that's enough to make you doubt the whole holy spirit thing right there.. i was sitting in his living room one sunday and the phone rings...some poor black sister just got the crap beat out of her and she was crying to him on the phone, she was looking for help.. ben said.
"well you must have done something really bad to make him so mad at you...i know but...what you need to do is just have another beer and forget the whole thing"....good by.. thank god must women are not putting up with this anymore, from their husbands or religions that really don't care about them.
